The Tasks of the middle Years

Our series »Living from the inside to the outside: Making friends with the rhythm of life« came to an end in May in an intensive contemplation of the tasks of the middle years.

The Celtic tree of life accompanied us as a powerfully expressive symbol, showing us in its infinite connections that the processes of life are never ending.

The middle years require the twofold decision of devotion: What is so important and valuable to me that I will grant it space in my life? What is so precious, that I will give it time?

We found the inspirations for the various motivations for devotion in seven stories of Elisha in the Second Book of Kings. We discovered our responses to them in manifold, exemplary stories, but also in the tales of our own experience.
